How to Win Back Customers Who Have Stopped Visiting

Every business has customers who used to be regulars and gradually stopped showing up. The problem is not that they left — it is that most of the time you do not notice in time.

First, identify them

Without a digital system, you have no way of knowing which customer has not visited in 30 or 60 days. 4Loyalty automatically tracks each customer's last visit, and Analytics shows you how many customers are currently inactive before you even think about reaching out.

Target them directly, not with a generic offer

A generic offer to everyone does not have the same effect as a targeted message to those who are missing. When you build a campaign in 4Loyalty, the "Hasn't visited in N days" filter lets you target exactly the customers who are missing — say, 30+ days — and send them "We miss you — come in for 20% off this week" via push notification, without bothering the customers who already visit regularly.

Do not wait until they are fully gone

The best time to reach out is before the customer forgets your business entirely — usually 2-4 weeks after their last visit, depending on your industry's normal visit cycle.

Combine this strategy with Customer Lifetime Value data to prioritize which customers are most worth winning back.
